Forging a new path
Mindsmith Coaching is centered around helping clients problem-solve their current obstacles and foster personal growth. The goal is to create customized strategies for clients to help them overcome their unique challenges.
My approach focuses on reflection, creative thinking, and encouragement to create the space to look at a situation without being derailed by judgment or shame. Meaningful life change is very difficult to do alone so having a co-pilot allows you to uncover blind spots and cover more ground. Armed with clarity and new insights, I know you can take steps towards building more meaning and purpose in life.
What is ADHD Coaching?
As a Certified Life Coach, I partner with you to overcome the obstacles you want to tackle. I bring expertise in problem-solving and facilitating growth while you have expertise in yourself and what works for you. So what exactly is an ADHD coach? I have specialty training on the complex and diverse set of symptoms. I also have ADHD myself. This allows me to draw on both professional research as well as my insights and empathy. Working with someone who does not have a specialty can end up with a lot of wasted time trying to get them to understand what it is like to have ADHD beyond the common knowledge of "It's hard to concentrate".
Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder has been described as a difficulty doing what you know, not knowing what to do. This is key to why coaching works so well. As a coach, my role is not to tell you what to do but to help investigate what's blocking you and how you can come up with solutions that fit you best. I am much more interested in coming up with unique creative solutions rather than something that works for other people.
The way I envision coaching is that the client is trying to build something for themselves like a smith in a workshop. My role is to help identify what it is you want to build and gather all the tools you might need to get there. In life, we often lose track of what tools we have and get overwhelmed by what we are told we "should" be doing. In my coaching, you are in charge. This means the hard work of building what you want is on you. Because at the end of the day it will be your success and glory, not mine.
What They Say
There are so many reasons why Bradley has been a phenomenal coach, but these are my top three: he listens with true curiosity, he asks exactly the right questions, and he somehow exudes both joyous excitement and problem-solving calm at the same time. His ability to strike the perfect balance between letting me come to my own conclusions and offering collaborative input at the right moment has been a model for me in my own teaching and mentoring.
